K2 dutch translation

I`ve just finished translating the WordPress K2 theme.

The translation works on K2 1.0.2 or higher.

I`ve decided to cooperate with James John Malcolm, so we`re both taking care of the translation.

Files

To use the translation, choose the language in wp-config.php and place the files above in /wp-content/themes/k2/languages/

If you notice any mistakes, feel free to reply and i`ll fix them as soon as possible.

Flight Simulator

Microsoft Flight Simulator The Essential Guide Flight SimulatorTwo weeks ago I found Microsoft Flight Simulator – The Essential Guide in the local newsagent.
The shown graphics made me realise i should update my flight simulator 2002 to flight simulator X.

The second step was acquiring Microsoft Flight Simulator X Deluxe and the Acceleration addon pack. Both costs about 25 euro`s each.

Next step was to find a new joystick. My old joystick still works but it has got a gameport connector. My pc don`t have one, and USB-Gameport adapters aren`t available at most stores.
I decided to grab a ThrustMaster T.Flight Hotas X;

It has 5 axis (4 on the joystick and 1 throttle).
Costs of this magnificent thing? A “cheap” 35 euro`s.

CodeIgniter 1.7

I`ve decided to go with CodeIgniter as PHP Model-View-Controller framework.
To learn the basics of this open source framework I`ve chosen for the CodeIgniter 1.7 book by Packt Publishing.1847199488 121x150 CodeIgniter 1.7

The book describes how to start with CodeIgniter beginning with the installation. The first steps followed by connecting databases, creating HTML pages and forms, using sessions and add security etcetera. The final chapters include more advanced features like dynamic information and uploads.

My review of this book will be online somewhere in january.

A sample chapter, which describes the basics of MVC and CodeIngiter can be found here.

More information about the book and and a link to buy it can be found here.
