Reducing My Carbon footprint in 2016
One of my 2016 goals is to reduce my carbon footprint without changing the quality of life.
I will aim for this by doing:
- Replace broken light bulbs with efficient LED based lightbulbs
- Reduce travelling by car and take the bicycle or train more
- Reduce fossil fuel consuption (natural gas) by better controlling the heat in my room using a thermostat and improve isolation
- Monitor and reduce the amount of silent energy users, like PSUs
- Reduce power consumption of my computer(s) by switching from high performance mode to energy efficient mode
- Separate waste better and into more streams
- At work: reduce use of ozone depleting chemicals and decrease use of polluting chemicals
