Yahoo! released version 3.0.0 of the Yahoo! User Interface Library – YUI for short.
The YUI Library is a set of utilities and controls, written with JavaScript and CSS, for building richly interactive web applications using techniques such as DOM scripting, DHTML and AJAX. YUI is available under a BSD license and is free for all uses.
YUI 3 is the first ground-up redesign of YUI since 2005, and it brings with it a host of modernizations:

Pidgin (formally known as Gaim) 2.6.0 has been released.
Pidgin is an easy to use and free chat client used by millions. Connect to AIM, MSN, Yahoo, and more chat networks all at once.
Pidgin is available for Windows, Linux, Mac OS and the source.
This version adds support for video and voice chat over XMPP, the Jabber/Google Talk protocol.
Furthermore it includes a number of bugfixes and splits the Yahoo! protocol into two separate protocol plug-ins, one for Yahoo! and one for Yahoo! JAPAN. More important, the Yahoo! plug-ins now support P2P file transfers and the MSN plug-in can now receive audio clips and hand-written (ink) messages. Preliminary support for the new AIM and ICQ authentication scheme, called “clientLogin”, has also been added.
