New design RikkieNL.nl

My younger brother`s website has been redesigned. The website is fully XHTML 1 / CSS 2compatible.

The website runs on WordPress and uses K2 with a custom stylesheet as theme.

YUI 2.8.0 released

Version 2.8.0 of the Yahoo! User Interface has been released.
This release brings in four new components (Storage Utility, SWFStore Utility, SWF Utility, and the ProgressBar Control) along with hundreds of fixes and enhancements.

The YUI Library is a set of utilities and controls, written in JavaScript, for building richly interactive web applications using techniques such as DOM scripting, DHTML and AJAX. YUI is available under a BSD license and is free for all uses.

Total Commander 7.50 released

Total Commander 7.50 has been released.

Total Commander is a filemanager for windows, with built-in FTP and (un)packing/compressing features.

Opera 10 released

Version 10.0 of the Opera webbrowser has been released.

Opera 10 includes a turbo mode for users with a slow connection by using a image-compressing proxy.
Other import changes are made to the layout, added spell check, automatic updates, HTML email support and the quickstart can now handle 25 items. Emails and RSS feeds can now be read within Opera.

Unite will be released with Opera 10.10

HTML 5 drafts released

The HTML Working Group has published the Working Drafts of HTML 5 and HTML 5 differences from HTML 4.

For HTML 5 new features are introduced to help Web application authors, new elements are introduced based on research into prevailing authoring practices, and special attention has been given to defining clear conformance criteria for user agents in an effort to improve interoperability.

HTML 5 differences from HTML 4 describes the differences between HTML 4 and HTML 5 and provides some of the rationale for the changes.
