Last week I brought: The Time Management Toolkit: Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 Step by Step and Take Back Your Life. (Price: about 17,50 euro)
Why?
Because I found myself too often in a situation where im working all day and do nothing the day afterwards.
I normally spend over an hour sorting out my emails every day. Not to mention another 2 hours of doing everything right away. This meant I often was in trouble to get things done before the deadline.
Yesterday I started to implement the MPS workflow.
I haven`t read the full book but I already implemented several steps like the “2 minute rule” and the “24 hour rule”.
So in case you think i`m slower than normal on responding to emails, I`m not, im just finishing a task first.
Summary after two days:
- Tasklist is getting fuller
- Inbox is getting emptier
- I`ve got everything done for the next 3 days
- Things are sorted, in my agenda and in my head
Last monday I started to begin with my minor.
My main question is:
How is it possible to analyse Benzene and MTBE in gasoline using a GC-MS and SPME?
I will split this question up into two seperate parts:
- Analysing the chemicals (benzene and MTBE) in gasoline by using GC-MS
- Analysing the chemicals in water and maybe oil with SPME
I will be blogging bits and pieces of results in the next couple of 15 weeks.
Over the last couple of months I`ve been planning to change the content of my website/blog. I’m finished with the plans and I`ve been working according to this plan for 2 weeks now.
The plans include:
- No more software release news, except for major versions (like WordPress 3.0, but non 2.9.2)
- Cleaning up the archive by removing “double” items like beta and release candidate announcements
- Add a webshop
- More personal and project based content
- Import my Blogger “video blog”; music.ramoonus.nl
- Increase the speed of my site, by disabling several plugins
- Modifications to the theme including graphical headers, to make things less static.
I will post more plans in the near future or when bigchanges are made.
On day 4 I collected the last Great Zero Markers, which meant I could enter the Great Zero`s calibration room.
Is it me or have the buttons on the four machines changed?
On the third day I finished several things I could finish on the second day.
I`ve completed the elder mission(s) finally. I had some difficulties with the fireflies and steam. There seemed to be a steam hole just next to where you spawn. The trick is to walk around it.
Afterwards I completed the mission and finished the 4 totems. I ended the first part of Uru.
I also picked up 9 Great Zero Markers (second run) which means I have to find 6 more. Very difficult …
