Youtube Tax

Buma/Stemra – the dutch collection society – recently announced the plans for tax on embedded Youtube movies.

Pricing will be 130 euro for 6 embedded files.

I have got around 1000 embedded files on my blogger music blog. This will mean i have to pay 21667 euro`s yearly. With my current loan this means i will have to work 65 weeks yearly and 48 hours per week to pay off. A year only counts 52 weeks.

And yearly i blog around an additional 300 clips. This will mean i have to pay an additional 6500 euro`s yearly.

How the hell is a regular blogger able to pay this amount of money? Have they gone out of their crazy?
Even placing a dozen of ads on your site won`t generate the 25.000 euro`s i have to pay this year!
